Project included installation of 435 feet of 30" suction piping, 210 feet of 10" fill piping, floating suctions, and isolation valves for (2) new 30,000 bbl Jet A tanks. Included 2500 feet of foam piping, (12) valves, and foam manifold modifications. Included an Oil/Water Separator and a Product Recovery Tank. Included utility demolition, dike liner, cathodic protection, storm drain system, and fencing.

Ramp 3 Phase 3 Reconstruction with Fuel Hydrant Loop Extension
Rickenbacker International Airport
Project included the installation of 2700 feet of 12" main piping, 1,200 feet of 6" and 4" lateral piping, (15) hydrant fuel pits with separate grounding pits, (4) surge suppressor pits, and equipment for (2) isolation valve vaults. The 12" main piping was flushed by setting up temporary piping, valves, filters, and flushing 54,000 gallons of Jet A fuel into Frack tanks in 15 minutes.

Project included the installation of double wall pipe in (3) different phases of this apron expansion project. The new hydrant loop system was tied-in to an existing inactive hydrant loop. Hydrant pits, low and high point pits were also installed.

Project included flushing existing 14" pipe into 14 frac tanks and transport fuel back to airport fuel farm. Rebuild and install control and isolation valves. Prepare truck load islands for active loading operation.

Project included drain down of existing hydrant system at night to install skillets at isolation points and remove hydrant pit valves. Purged decommissioned system piping with nitrogen and transported fuel back to Fuel Farm.

Installation of (2) oil water separators, (1) 2,000 reclaim tank, (1) 10,000 sump tank, and (1) 12,000 gallon AST. Installation of Isolation valves in underground concrete vaults. Testing and flushing of the entire fuel system to ATA 103and ASTM B31.3.

Project included extending the B Concourse and adding new gate positions to the existing hydrant fuel system.  Fabrication and installation of (24) twenty four 6” hydrant pits and laterals to existing hydrant system and (1) one isolation valve vault.  This project is a testament to the efficiency of our crews and scheduling as all work must be completed with out disruption to ongoing fueling operations.

Bolt Construction has worked directly for Air BP to install single fuel hydrant pits at various locations to accommodate ever changing aircraft configurations, safety, and efficiency. Again, these projects require highly skilled work crews and very refined scheduling. Generally these installations must be completed between 11:00 pm and 5:00 am and can not disrupt ongoing fueling operations.
